Gobiesox maeandricus (Northern Clingfish)

Like other clingfish, this species is characterized by its suction cup that is used to hold onto the bottom of rocks or algae. This suction force is extremely strong and allows them to hold onto the substrate in high wave action. They are often found on the bottom of rocks in the intertidal that rest on gravel substrate. They feed on small crustaceans, worms, and mollusks. (fishbase)
